About Spring Mountain Ski Patrol

Spring Mountain Ski Patrol is a member patrol of The National Ski Patrol System. Spring Mountain patrollers receive their training through National Ski Patrol authorized courses. It is a non-profit organization as a part of the Eastern Division and under day to day supervision by Spring Mountain Adventures, Inc. It relies on member dues, donations and a partnership with Spring Mountain Adventures, Inc.

About the National Ski Patrol

The National Ski Patrol System is a federally-chartered 501(c)(1) nonprofit membership association. As the leading authority of on-mountain safety, the NSP is dedicated to serving the outdoor recreation industry by providing education and accreditation to emergency care and safety service providers.

What Patrollers Do

The primary duty of patrollers is maintaining the safety of skiers, riders and visitors to prevent injuries at Spring Mountain Ski Area by:

• Providing first aid to the injured.
• Transporting the injured to the aid room.
• Assisting with the opening and closing of the ski session.
• Installing safety fences, barriers, and markers.
• Helping to control lift lines.
• Enforcing Spring Mountain safety and conduct rules.
